Keeper of Infinite Earths - T.E.C. EMPIRE
Created by Matt Parmenter
High
Lord Flump
Alter Ego: Flump
Occupation:
High Lord
Known Relatives: None living
Group Affiliation: T.E.C.ian Empire
Base of Operations: T.E.C.ian Empire
Background/History:
His family had a solid reputation and was well liked in the province where they
lived. Their homeworld was a small planet on the edge of T.E.C.'s empire,
generally ignored, until a draft was instituted as TEC was starting to want to
expand again. Flump was an underachiever, excelling at nothing, only doing
what he had to get by and his attitude made him the black sheep of his family.
He, along with his brother and every young adult on the planet, was taken
to join T.E.C.'s army. Left with little choice, Flump became a good
soldier, on the surface, he gave the appearance, but he still only did what he
had to. His brother eagerly learned the ways of war, intending to free his
people from TEC and joined the Rebellion secretly. Unfortunately, Flump
discovered his plans and looked at his brother, who his parents loved best, as a
chance to make a name for himself. He betrayed his brother and began to
rise in rank. Declared publicly a hero of the Empire, he returned to his
home to see his parents. They knew what he had done and hated him for it,
so he personally executed them for treason against T.E.C. and continued his rise
on their corpses. A man who loved the empire more than his family, with no
morals, and no concern for anything other than his position did well in
fulfilling the tasks no one else wanted. Eventually he rose to the rank of
High Lord, comfortably positioned above mere soldiers, but not high enough to
offend the hierarchy.
Personality/Motivation:
Sadistic, vengeful, and selfish with a reasonably good tactical sense, Flump
does the best he can to keep his position with as little personal effort as
possible. Ruling by fear, others do his dirty work for him, not willing to
risk his wrath. Considered a joke by those above him, but effective in his
own way and useful as a yes-man, he sits and eats and manipulates people to save
him effort, but serving T.E.C quite well.
