Background/History:
Sid was born and raised in the southwestern US. His father had a farm in
Kansas, but his mother traveled around selling crafts and Sid went with her. He
spent a great deal of time outdoors in areas that were near old nuclear test
sites and that's the only explanation he ever had for his size. He had a growth
spurt at the age of six and grew about a foot in a month. The trend continued
until he was nearly seven feet tall at the age of 12 and he stopped getting
taller, although he continued getting stronger and bigger into his late teens.
His strength was superhuman by his tenth birthday and he worked out secretly to
build on it. He became a 'big time' wrestling fan and actually wrestled some
independent matches, but although he could easily do all the power moves and
take damage all day long, he could not 'sell' his opponents moves for anything.
He simply had no good personal reference on being hurt to draw from. Seeing
his parents struggle to make ends meet made him determined to get by comfortably
and as easily as possible, so he turned to a life of crime. Playing on the big
and dumb stereotype, he acts and talks as if he is slow both mentally and
physically to gain a psychological advantage. He likes to fight other super
strong heroes, but is very careful not to needlessly injure those weaker than
he. He has a deep respect for life from his upbringing and will not kill,
tolerating it from others rarely. He works his parent's farm, plays softball,
and puts on a garish costume to be hired muscle when he needs money.
Personality/Motivations:
Very simply, he uses his strength to make money as quickly and easily as possible and plays the supervillian role more for the fun of fighting superheroes than because he is just mean or evil.
